Getting Small

At Living Hope Church, we define "success" by how effectively our ministries move people from large environments into small groups of friends who "do life together."  We believe these Life Groups are often the best place for life changes to occur and be sustained. 

In a Life Group, people study God's Word and they are also in a small enough environment to personally discuss the issues and challenges of their life.  A Life Group is also where we pray together, care for one another and if someone does not show up, they are missed.  Practically speaking, there will never be a way for our staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church.  That's why we place such a high premium on group involvement.  This is how we effectively minister at Living Hope Church.

At Living Hope Church, we have three types of group environments:

• Starting Points -- One-time events (or short-term commitments) where people from Living hope can just get together to have a good time & enjoy each other.  It may be a dinner at someone's home, a concert at the Target Center, or a summer softball game.  These groups offer an excellenet opportunity to "test the water" and begin the process of connecting.  To find out when our next Starting Point events are happening, click here.
• Growth Groups -- Short-term groups (usually 3-9 weeks) that gather around a shared interest or need.  Growth Groups cover many areas such as money management, parenting, relational skills and habits of being an effective Christian, to name a few.  For more information on Growth Groups, click here.
• Life Groups -- These are groups of 8-10 individuals or 4-5 married couples who meet in someone's home, in a coffee shop, or another location to help one another grow in their faith.  A Life Group is a great place to get to know others at Living Hope, get to know God in a deeper way, and begin to live out true biblical community.  Some are closed gorups, some are open for new growth, but they all share a commitment to meet together regularly for 12-24 months.  Click here for more information on a Life Group near you.

GroupLink -- If you're interested in getting connect in a Life Group but don't know where to start, GroupLink is for you!  GroupLink is an event (held approximately twice per year) where people meet and connect with others in order to start a Life Group.  To find out more about our next GroupLink event, click here.
