Serving at Living Hope

There are four primary ways we measure spiritual growth in people at Living Hope:  growing love for GOD, growing love for people not connected to God, growing love for other believers, and a growing love for serving together.  In fact, we believe so deeply in the value of joining with friends and serving other people together that we are shooting for 100% participation from those who regularly attend Living Hope.  In other words, if Living Hope is your church home, we expect you to serve in some way.

That's because God created us to serve people!  He designed the church to work like a living organism, with each member fulfilling its perfect role to make a whole that is GREATER than the sum of its parts.  God made EVERYBODY with a purpose and a set of distinct interests and skills - and to those who know Jesus as their Savior, He also has given at least one spiritual gift for use in His Church.  When we unleash the power of everybody serving in their sweet spot, God accomplishes much through us.

"[The church leaders'] responsibility is to equip God's people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ."  [ Ephesians 4:12 ]

<< Because we see the Bible continually teaching that we have been created to serve WITH and ALONG SIDE others, we encourage our LifeGroups to serve together in the community somehow.  Rather than focus our efforts in church-wide campaigns, we primarily rely on our LifeGroups to serve together in community-level service endeavors that spring naturally from relationships within the group and within the community.  To learn more about LifeGroups at Living Hope, click the orange logo to the left.
